Ripley's Believe It or Not has been presenting the incredible and the unusual in illustrated form since Robert Ripley's first "Champs and Chumps" comic published on Dec. 19, 1918. Currently, B.I.O.N. is illustrated by John Graziano, who has been working as an artist and illustrator since 1983, when he received a certificate in illustration from the Newark School of Fine and Industrial Arts. He has designed trading card sets and a portrait series based on the 1960s cult TV show "Dark Shadows." John has also created comic strips for "Scream Queens" magazine, designed t-shirts graphics and created storyboards and concept drawings for Hollywood films. Researcher Lucas Stram has worked since 2004 as the voice behind the cartoon, reviewing potential stories, filtering through the hundreds of weekly submissions and putting together the stories for John to bring to life. New submissions are always welcome. Just click here.

I think Steve Miller said something in a song about jets and home.

Seen video of Plane home. It’s a very plan home. Primative.
Seemed to work. Back woods kinda way. Whatever floats your boat. Or flys your plane.

I was an airline mehanic for 35 years. A 727 is about the last thing I would want to live in. Spent enough time in ’em to last a lifetime.

I read of a woman in Hiroshima whose skin was permanently colored like the floral print of the kimono she was wearing when the bomb hit.

Why? So that the lesson won’t be remembered? You like to forget the past do you?

One of the nuclear flash shadows is of a girl reaching for a dragonfly.

while horrific indeed, the bombings saved millions of lives on both sides, were there to be an invasion of the home islands.
THEY were the unlucky ones; the collateral damage, if you will

Those here suggesting painting over the images of the innocent humans we killed in Japan are the same apathetic fools who keep the war machine alive. Slaughter, molest, bury it and move on to the next. Nice people indeed. Wonder how they would feel if it were their loved ones. But, these people never do reflect on things so never mind.

Some people were transformed into their shadows. Makes me cry. What a nightmare.

Imagine if Germany or Japan had gotten the bomb first!
