I wonder if anyone ever detected intelligent behavior in politicians.

Intelligence? In politicians? That’s an oxymoron, friend.

Turing was gay and killed himself biting into a poisoned apple, hence the Apple Computer logo.

you sent me off to wiki!

Apparently, the Apple logo was not designed as a tribute to Turing, but Steve Jobs said he wished they had thought of that.

It wasn’t a widely accepted persuasion before very recent history. Lots of LGBT people kept it very secret for fear of being strung up, beat up . . . you name it. Thank goodness we have evolved

An oxymoron is a figure of speech or expressed idea in which apparently contradictory terms appear in conjunction. Had simpsonfan2 said “intelligent politicians” that may have been an oxymoron, but he/she didn’t, he/she asked a perfectly reasonable question.

But why spoil a perfectly good criticism with facts.

I am going to have to read up on this Turing fellow. Sounds like an interesting dude.

Turing outed himself while the UK still considered homosexuality a criminal act. He couldn’t take being ostracized.

Other oxymorons include “military intelligence”, “jumbo shrimp”, and “moderate republican”

Intelligence doesn’t make you a good person. So we need an empathy test for one. And if we had the death penalty for govt malfeasance I wonder how long we’d have any more problems from corruption. Though I would give them life time hard labor myself.

Shrimp isn’t a size, and intelligence is used in place of spying data.
