I wonder if anyone ever detected intelligent behavior in politicians.

Apparently, the Apple logo was not designed as a tribute to Turing, but Steve Jobs said he wished they had thought of that.

It wasn’t a widely accepted persuasion before very recent history. Lots of LGBT people kept it very secret for fear of being strung up, beat up . . . you name it. Thank goodness we have evolved

I am going to have to read up on this Turing fellow. Sounds like an interesting dude.

Turing outed himself while the UK still considered homosexuality a criminal act. He couldn’t take being ostracized.

Other oxymorons include “military intelligence”, “jumbo shrimp”, and “moderate republican”

I was never able to check this out, but there was a story once about a group of engineers that programmed a computer they were designing to design its own improvements. Requests for components soon followed, and they realized how it would be improved. The transistors, resistors, ICs, capacitors and PC boards were ordered, but when it requested (4) 7.50 X 15s they pulled the plug!!
