    Even with new commercials, you can’t beat the classics!

    Even old commercials aren’t so bad as long as they tout the good, better, and best dog foods…and treats, of course! ;)

    I one man’s trash is another man’s treasure type of thing…I usually hit mute….
    .
    I do love to watch old TV. Ads though…I watched some old VHS of show copied years ago called, " Crime Story "…I was thrilled looking at the great cars in the show, but the commercials were really a kick…

    At least all the repeats that I get to see on my DVD player are commercial-free.

    Ken-L Ration, made with US government-inspected horsemeat!
    (from a 1960s commercial on a Quaker Oats-sponsored episode of “Bewitched”)

    If it’s the “Crime Story” I’m thinking of, with Dennis Farina, that was made in the ‘80s. Too short a run, but great fun to watch. I remember the ’50s cop shows it was based on ( M Squad, The Untouchables, Highway Patrol, Man With a Camera, Naked City) and it wasn’t bad.

    Just remember for Red and Rover this is new stuff. Repeats usually happened during the Summer. I watched Lassie, Wild Wild West, Green Hornet, Batman, The Invaders, FBI, Astroboy, That Girl etc.

    And back in those times, the big 3 networks didn’t tell you if is a new episode like they do now. Or did they?

    I dont know, but I do remember when you looked up a show in theTV Guide, it would tell you if it was a rerun with a big R next to it…

    @Dogday88

    That’s the one, it was made in the 80’s…but the story was supposed to be in the late 50’s, so they had all of the really strange Ads…as well as really great cars…
