    Does this mean that the squirrel plan for world domination is no longer of interest to Rover?

    I wish my parents had allowed my dog to sleep in my room when I was a kid.

    @rpmurray

    It is, but only in the day time. Which is why our Watch Border Collie is always treeing them. Apparently they can’t plan in their trees. ;-)

    We have one dog who only goes off when the garage door is opened, so any burglars better come in through the garage. The other one, who knows everything to be seen, heard or smelled around the place, I often wake to see him silently wakeful in the wee hours. If he goes off in the middle of the night like he does when the mail carrier comes I’ll never recover.

    Kid Sister’s Pit Bull never barked unless there was an intruder. She only attacked when provoked (a peeping Tom lost a pant leg) and was once caught lovingly cleaning a kitten’s fur. The kitten did not approve. :-)

    Pit Bull wasn’t “lovingly cleaning a Kitten” She was BASTING it!

    Nah, the dog never did learn how to cook. She preferred to gently nudge a child’s elbow so they’d drop the burger. Anything on the floor belonged to the Pit & no smoky stuff to fuss with. :-)
