    Just had to let my English black Lab, Harleigh, out at 5:45 AM in 23ºF weather. She barked to wake me up.
    I jokingly told her that I would beat her senseless – then said that she was already senseless!
    (therefore, no actual beating ever needed) ;-)

    @AshburnStadium

    I had a dog, Buddy, who liked “getting his butt beat.” In other words, it was a light, open-handed rapid tapping of his backside, using both hands. It was actually like a massage to him!

    Nice. Our St. Bernard always wanted to be a lap dog.

    <————-
    I had heard(but didn’t bother to Google it) that most breeds of dogs maintain a 102-105 F body temp..That sounds and feels about right for my Cleopatra!
