Red and Rover by Brian Basset for September 01, 2002

Rover: (Sigh) Summer sure flew by fast. How fast you ask? That's easy. We know the earth rotates on its axis once every 24 hours, and 24 hours makes one day...ninety days make one season. Take those figures multiplied by the number of hours in a season divided by the number of seconds in an hour... times that will all the minutes wasted doing chores around the house... and voila! You get the speed at which summer flew by. Rover: Looks more like a drawing of pipe cleaners or swizzle sticks to me. Red: Well, anyway- summer flew by way too fast and school starts this week. Rover: None too soon it would appear.
It went faster for me. I read 5 Red and Rover old cartoons a day.
