If you have a well that runs on a pump that requires electricity, yep.

Pucky looks all kinds of concerned in the last panel. And poor, frightened Agnes….

I think you’re right about Alice looking sadder in the original. It’s her eyebrows.

We say, “More pad, less claw,” here, but the boyz just don’t listen, and they take the hall corners, and going around doors, annd, well, everything, too fast. There’s an awful lot of scrabbling, and some colliding.

But I don’t think any of my cats are better or worse at the surfaces themselves because of the kind of cat they are, if that’s what you’re asking, John Peter. Just, I think the faster (younger/slimmer) ones have more trouble.

An often heard saying in our house (which has, as flooring, either hardwood or slippery laminate) is, “More pad, less claw.” The kitties like to take the turns in the hallways at speed, you see, and there is much scrabbling and occasional ker-thumping.

Looks like 70s linoleum, to me. We had some of s similar shade in an apartment I lived in during the early 80s as a child. In the kitchen. Complete with green stove and refrigerator.

I agree with the others. Oh My Cat to your heart’s content! Why not? Those who know the reference will understand, those who don’t may ask—giving you an opportunity to introduce someone new to BCN!

Two of my black cats shed their weight in fur every day during the summer, but hoard it all winter long. The tuxedo sheds a middling amount, the gray not at all, like ever. But the newest guy, the enormous striped tabby…he sheds year round. I was not prepared for this amount of fluff!

The “Future Lady Cubs of America” are worth their weight in cookies. I do enjoy freezing the thin mints and having them in the winter, with mocha. ;-)
