I’ve worked in US schools for a long time and have very seldom seen girls laugh at buring; only boys. Interesting part of kids’ culture which they almost all seem to know and follow.

I was taught that, long ago, a sneeze was considered “a little death” because your heart stopped during it. Therefore, people said “God bless you” so that the sneezer would either come back to life, or fare well on the other side.
