I had a boss that used to tell stories about his dad accidentally setting himself on fire when he was in high-school. A fairly regular occurrence: spilling paint thinner next to the water heater, grinding lawn-mower blades without taking them off the mower first, etc. Former boss relates talking on the phone with a buddy and sees his dad run by the picture window in flames; “Gotta go, my dad’s on fire again.” He gives the impression that the friend thought nothing of it since it was so common.
I’m still having a good chuckle over Nate’s face in yesterday’s last panel! And I’m looking forward to the look on Mrs Godfrey face when she realizes why Nate’s been so good all week.
Sorry for feeding the trolls – comments by the Cappers used to be so enjoyable and the recent attack trolling is insult to injury.
