   As a traveler, who has left my husband at home, and the stay-at-home when my husband has traveled, I can tell you that it is way better to be the traveler than to be the one left at home. I empathize with Alix , but I want to be Evie!!

   Amen, Fairportfan2. I don’t have a choice as to the things that life hands me. I do have a choice as to how I respond to those things. I was widowed at age 40, with 5 sons to raise. I know of which I speak.

   Not that old, 71, but made a first trip to South Africa this year and going back next year. This was too perfect for my situation!!! Thank you, Jan.
