I paid a compliment to this strip a couple days ago, (in GA if I recall) remembering it from many years ago – certainly long before I discovered internet comic strip websites. (I’ve only been doing Go Comics for about a year, following the fantastic Dick Tracy and Moon Maid adventure)
    .
And it was just yesterday that discovered Prickly City on Go Comics.
    .
Yes, I am a liberal – very liberal – but I used to enjoy Prickly City as a rather intelligent and entertaining explanation of what the other side believes and feels. And lacking the malice of Mallard Fillmore, it was an enjoyable read.
    .
At any rate, looking at what’s been going on here for a couple of weeks, I guess this strip has gone to the ducks!

Dear Cheap, the humor is still here, and still gentle. The style is closer to 1950s political humor than other strips display. Mallard and Boondocks are also funny, if edgier.

I guess what I was trying to say is that, in the past, and maybe still goes on (just not these last couple of weeks) is that Carmen represents conservative issues and Winslow represents liberal issues. Being a conservative biased strip, Carmen usually wins.
    .
And I have no problem with that. Even if I am a liberal.
    .
    But,
    .
There were also times, on occasion, that Stantis would let Winslow win, thus showing that he has an open mind.
    .
I think I’m safe in saying that, right now, both sides need a little more of that.

Kevin is a “lefty tea party” senator, and Mrs. Kevin is a parody of the “stand by your man” political wives such as Huma Abedin and Hillary Clinton.
