A small town in the American Southwest... everything in the desert is designed to prick you, wound you or eat you. What better metaphor for 21st century Earth? Prickly City is a comic strip about the friendship between Winslow, a coyote pup, and Carmen, a straight and narrow kind of kid. Prickly City offers a conservative perspective on political and social events within an ongoing storyline. As Carmen might say, "We may not be correct but we will always be right."
Their high jinks provide endless laughs as Winslow gets into trouble and Carmen follows. Join Carmen and Winslow for their adventures in the desert!

Remember the old Pogo strip? It’s original demise in July 1975 was because of the shrinking size of comic strips or something.

This is one of many reasons I no longer take a paper. Too many dead trees, and the font/pix are not adjustable. On my vastly expanded gocomics page, these guys look hilariously huge.

I was in the newspaper game back in the late 70’s. Even then the price of paper was crimping business.
And while comics are one of the area people expect to have in their paper they produce no revenue because the pages often have no ad’s.
Remember the word “news hole” that is the space left after you lay out the ads. That determins how big the overall paper is. It use to be that the only pages without ads were the front page, op-ed, comics and front page of sports.

Only problem is that it takes significant time to navigate from one strip to the next. No hang time at all when reading on paper.

GoComics Sherpa only lets you post comics that are 600 pixels wide or less- it’s just as bad as the newspapers, in my opinion…

Never liked the idea that the paper owners think so little of the comics section and the reader.
