A small town in the American Southwest... everything in the desert is designed to prick you, wound you or eat you. What better metaphor for 21st century Earth? Prickly City is a comic strip about the friendship between Winslow, a coyote pup, and Carmen, a straight and narrow kind of kid. Prickly City offers a conservative perspective on political and social events within an ongoing storyline. As Carmen might say, "We may not be correct but we will always be right."
Their high jinks provide endless laughs as Winslow gets into trouble and Carmen follows. Join Carmen and Winslow for their adventures in the desert!

I know our nation is in trouble when going to church the past few weeks and he priest talks about the election (HHS mandate) and then shows a “voters guide” on how to vote.

I know our nation is in trouble if Kevin doesn’t win.

If your church has become a political institution instead of a religious or spiritual institution, then perhaps it should start to be made to pay taxes as such a political institution (if not, then perhaps you should at least start to consider finding another church?)!

@ScottPM
Tell that to liberals and democrats.

Not unless they start taxing politicians by the speech and the political ad.

Word for word exact same comment on Mallard Filmore. If a pastor in another church came out for Obama (and I’m sure many have), would you be just as upset?

“If your church has become a political institution instead of a religious or spiritual institution, then perhaps it should start to be made to pay taxes as such a political institution …”
Can we make that retroactive to the last 20-30 years? Wait, I forgot that Dems, and anyone who supports them, aren’t bound by the same rules as mere mortals. Never mind.

Where do you find Mallard online? I used to read a weekly summary, but that site seems to have quit updating.

Well if you listen to the pundits, we should just cancel the election tomorrow since Obama has already won. Kevin’s just being a bit more open about his claims.

churches need to stay out of POLITICS. IF they choose not to stay out, then they should pay TAXES just like ANY OTHER BUSINESS.
It doesn’t matter WHAT politics – it applies to ALL OF IT AND ALL CHURCHES

Wow, so full of hate. But hey, here’s a thought — remember that “No taxation without representation” business that was kind of important to Americans back in the 1700s? If you tax churches . . . well, you can fill in the rest.
BTW, you are VERY touchy and erratic on this subject. I really think you should be getting counseling or meds for this rage issue.

PS — mosques too, I suppose?

Really, ever pay attention to Unitarians? They’re like a sounding board for every left-wing wacko idea that’s ever been floated.

If churches want to tell their flock how an who to vote they can pay taxes. There is a mandate in the Bible about rendering (taxes) to Rome aka Caesar the same applies now so churches are violating their god’s law in not paying taxes.
