Think back over the past 8 years, I can’t figure out the significance of “Connie” and “Pamela”.

One of the name I got called in school was “Farrah Fawcett-Cootieswamp” (My maiden name is Coutermarsh: marsh/swamp…get it? har de har har). I hated that.

I knew Connie and Pamela. They hated each other.
BTW, I got called names that I can’t repeat here.

What makes you think there’s a significance? They’re just random names.

Connie is one of my sisters. Short for Constance. I think it might be from Constantinople. We have Russian roots.

The joke is that nobody could remember either her real name or her nickname, and so they’d call her whatever name first came to mind.

I got called after my last name mixed with the country of Bangladesh. Only by one person who noticed it was in the news in the 1970’s.

My seventh-grade math teacher had that name. But we never called him anything but MISTER Coutermarsh.

I got called some names in school. Kitty Kat and “Here, kitty, kitty”. I started to grow out of awkward. The boys seemed to like it. It’s why the girls started the names. It doesn’t bother me anymore.

My name is Dale Miel (Meal) and other kids thought it was fun to call me whale, Oatmeal, cornmeal, and mush. In High school I was friends with a foreign exchange student who spoke five different languages and one day he saw how my last name was spelled and after that he always greeted me with “HI, Dale Honey” (Miel is french for honey)/
