   My problem is the opposite. My old, chubby dog will not allow the old, chubby owner to walk her. We both sit down and enjoy the scenery!!!

   My St Bernard used to love walking on the beach, It was just that she also loved charging into the surf, and dragging me in with her! I learned to wear my wet suit after the first time! (Ever been to Salisbury Beach in April? It’s refuelling season for the icebergs!

   Dogs can be taught to walk properly, and should be. After all, humans are the higher specie, not dogs. But when I see a dog walking its owner, I lose all hope for humanity. My 85 pound collie walks WITH me not I with him.

   Weird, half the Pluggers are dogs, the other half keep them as pets.
