Plugger picture tubes don’t burn out fast enough.

Hey man, my TV might weigh a lot, but it is a 47" picture tube!!! With those bloody flatscreens it just looks like one long THIN, and I do mean THIN, line. It looks more lifelike!!!

And are those, um, tapes of some sort on top of a, um, VCR?

The new flat screens are getting up there. Big TVs are like fat people, hard to smuggle.

yeh, looks like VHS tapes on that console TV…..the only thing missing is the aluminum foil-wrapped rabbit ears for that crystal clear reception

“There’s something about a Muntz TV
That makes you want to cheer!
There’s something about a Muntz TV,
So bright, so sharp, so clear!”
“You can see
The best TV
Better on a Crosley!”
Sylvania, Admiral, and of course, RCA. Gone, all gone.

The flat screens are crisp and clean pictures. And the smaller ones are so light.

Our TV is a 36" monstrous 217 lbs. It was left to us by my daughter and her husband when they moved. They had to throw out the table it was sitting on as it was bent in the middle
from the weight. We have it on dresser in the livingroom and I want to rearrange the livingroom so the morning sun isn’t shining on the screen. Hubby is bulking at the idea of moving it. I’m trying to get my son to help. Might be a while before it gets moved. I was hoping before Christmas so I could put up the tree, but I guess we’ll be treeless again this year.

My computer desk is bowed in the middle from years of straining under a 21" CRT monitor. Same problem.

I figure they are heavy because they came with speakers.

Love those new flat screens. Even the big ones are now super light and all you need is an antenna and you get a fantastic picture!

Nope, got rid of mine last year. ;-)
Although in all fairness, the big screens weighed a lot more than that even just 5-10 years ago so that’s not the fairest gag.
