Yes! Let’s stimulate the economy by buying cheap stuff made in China! (yeah…I shop there too from time to time…)

Walmart is trying to open a store near my place. People are squawking about it “ruining the neighborhood” and “driving the local businesses out”. The location is in the same strip mall as a Dollar store, a Rainbow market and Harbor Freight!

I think Listmom is right. It seems that most items at dollar stores are cheap, dangerous imports. Buy US made whenever possible.

Pluggers eat the food found at dollar stores. Helps keep that pear shape most seem to have. Chinese packaged food is best. MMM mmm good!

@david_42
Pluggers hate local business people. They like their money to leave the area. Especially too billionaires far away!

There should be plenty of dollar stores already without having to wait for this one to open.

@stukuls
Pluggers use Dollar stores, etc, because they are on fixed incomes. They prefer local businesses, but have to budget their cash flow. Thanks to the economy, and trade agreements, they are forced to use them for everyday items. If cost of US products was as low as those imported, more US products would be bought.
