That with me is either two things: I’m getting shorter by getting older, or I’m slowly reverting back to my childhood (and I’m hoping it’s the latter!).

I used to round up a quarter-inch and say I was six feet, but now I round down a quarter-inch and say I’m 5-11. I figure I can keep that up until I have to round down to 5-10.

After I’ve been weighed at the doctor’s office and I’m asked how tall I am, my response is usually, “Not tall enough.”

My mom is 96, and she’s lost several inches of height. The usual explanation is that the spinal disks compress with age, so you start folding up like a telescope…something to look forward to?

My mom was pretty short to begin with and she’s in her 70s now. I told her at the rate she’s going if she lives long enough she’ll just disappear.
