    Like I said yesterday, I grew up only knowing my maternal grandparents and I called them as Grandma and Grandpa.

    we just called both sets of grand parents grandma and grandpa (insert their last name).

    Ours were Nana & Papa (pronounced ‘PUH-puh’) and then their last names. My folks were Bostonians…

    We did that in talking to each other (brothers and sisters) but not to outsiders who wouldn’t know one from the other.

    I am Oma to my step-grandson. I love it since I had an Oma when I was growing up.
