   I keep mine sharp with ice cubes !
   Actually, I try not to use mine. I have strainers in my sinks, recycle and have a compost pile.

   We have a compost, but even with black plastic on the outside to warm it up some, our 200+ days below freezing /year makes it really difficult to keep the bacteria going.
