   That happens to me too. The busier I am the less I remember what I bumped into. But I never have any interesting looking bruises.

   And she’s right. We never remember where we got them ( sort of like real tattoos ) !

   I was told that the little “mystery bruises” on my hands and arms are caused by small capillaries that burst. This is more common in cold, raw weather. I live in a flat with no heat or insulation; it seldom gets down below freezing but when it’s in the high 30s F you notice it more.

    Same here…I have a 3 inch(across) on the outside of my left knee and can’t for the life of me remember how I got it…
