Anybody remember the Dick Van Dyke episode where Ritchie (son) connects the freckles on Rob’s (Dick’s) back and gets the Liberty Bell?

Someone please teach that kid the difference between “can” and “may.”

There are worse things he can , I mean may draw, I suppose.
When growing up I had a teacher that, when asked, for example, “Can I go to the bathroom”, would reply, “i don’t know, can you?” By the time we got the grammer correct we were “dancing” down the hallway.

I thought of that too. I saw it in reruns about 20 years ago, still remember it. As I remember it, they turned out to be scars from crawling under barbed wire while he was in the army rather than freckles.
