    I think you’re right. It looks likeDakota has turned into a real version of those long-haired troll dolls. Either that or that replacement magic hair had to come from somewhere and the original owner has replaced Dakota. That would explain the sign.

    Oh dear…this gives the name “South Dakota” a whole new connotation, as in “Situation going south—fast!” The transformation must have come with its own Shield of Boringness (or maybe a variation in which Dakota’s parents still see her as human), or else she would already be in a research laboratory somewhere…
