A true conservative, only concerned with what affects them directly.

And still no response from any of the Fox “news” viewers on whether the government shutdown is a good thing or a bad thing.
Pretty amazing when you consider that Fox “news” viewers have opinions on pretty much everything.

^You mean “Fox Views”, as in Murdoch’s, right?

Perhaps they don’t know what it is? Maybe if asked their “opinion” on the Government Slowdown they would respond.

Where are all the money savings that are supposed to be accumulated because of the shutdown of the government? The bean counters in Washington are just going to say, “Game over, we had our fun! Now everybody back to work!” Then they will vote for everyone to get their backpay and say, “There, we got it all worked out and it’s all fine and dandy. Now we need a pay raise?”
If the truth were known they would be paying us, the American public, for being allowed to live La Dolce Vita in the Beltway.

I think they call it a Slimdown now.
You have to use the right pass words to get past their hypnotic blocks.

Ah yes, Democrats decrying the Bush habit of financing his wars on the credit card while gutting tax revenues and setting the stage for economic ruin. Time for GOP Talking Points, straight from,, National Review, etc.

Here’s a fun post on TeaBircher Louie Gohmert, saying that if the U.S. goes into default, it’ll be an impeachable offense by the President.
The Tea Party in specific (and Republican in general) logic and brains have melted away. Their messaging is a toxic stew, their political strategies sand in the wind, and their policies incoherent rage. The biggest questions now are how much damage will they cause, to the country and to themselves.
And if we do hammer out some kind of “deal”, we’ll do this kind of crap all over again in three months. This is how Republicans govern, people. Maybe people will, this time, remember their current actions during the mid-terms.

    Bush didn’t gut revenues
Oh really ? Ever hear of the “Bush Tax Cuts”?
Obama signed legislation that led to the collapse
Oh, that must be the legislation Obama signed before he was President? Bush did not try to fix the problem until it was too late, and then, scared s**tless, signed TARP into being, and Obama implemented it (despite it not having insufficient funds) to avert another Depression.
And by the way, the deficit is being reduced far faster than expected under Obama, despite the blatant obstructionism by the Republicans.

The shut down is costing us money. And did you know that among those furloughed were nuclear power inspectors?
