Mother Croc: Is it set on high?
See, kids? It’s all a matter of understanding grammar! Grammar is our friend. If “great croc” is understood to be an indirect object, then Larry was saying that he had heard that they sell pot to a great croc (namely, himself). But Comic Strip Censor forces us to take it as meaning merely that they sell a great croc[k] pot (the final k in crock being silent). And so Larry escapes being censored, although Patty is tempting Fate! High Times!
