At its heart, Pearls Before Swine is the comic strip tale of two friends: an arrogant Rat who thinks he knows it all and a slow-witted Pig who doesn't know any better. Together, this pair offers caustic commentary on humanity's quest for the unattainable. Dilbert cartoonist Scott Adams says that Pearls is "one of the few comics that make me laugh out loud." The strip has twice won the National Cartoonists Society's Reuben division award for Best Newspaper Comic Strip – in 2003 and in 2006.

See, not all the humans in this strip are bald.
Bruno Zeigerts said, 3 months ago
Maybe dealing with Rat turns people bald … though Pastis seems immune….

Is Rat going to cry?

Rat is a self-asorbed narcissist.

Slightly self-absorbed? Goat, it’s clear Bob can see Rat is incredibly self-absorbed and needs to once again be taken down by a thousand pegs. Maybe Farina can return and start up her relationship with Rat again only to dumb him for a “real man” like Ziggy (if I recall that left Rat sucking his thumb in the fetal position, or maybe that was the whole giant ego story line and Rat’s Ego went from being two stories tall to an inch in height and Pig easily stepped on it).

Bob does a lot of talking for a guy with no mouth.

@Radish
He’s probably related to Dilbert.

There’s one name for 90% of the new characters that show up. I could have told you his name was Bob without him saying.
JGordonFan24 said, 3 months ago
Maybe Bob is using ESPN.

In a way, Rat is right: any Cartoon-Boy character named Bob is nothing but comic cannon-fodder. Rat simply demonstrates that HE does not need to know anyone’s name!
