    Sometimes the best route is the simplest, and I thought Gandhi didn’t hate anything or anyone.

    He only hates Stephan’s puns.

    Okay, I’m lost. Was there or wasn’t there a pun?

    No pun in this strip. Gandhi has been reading the strip and echoing the sentiments of a few people on this board (not counting me – I love puns, especially in poetry. For me, the verse, the better.).

    There’s an old joke about Ghandi having bad breath. Let’s see if Pastis uses it this week.

    You should study Gandhi. While he had many good points, the lack of hate was certainly not one of them.

    That’s the joke, Mr Pastis’ puns are so bad that even Gandhi hates them.

    @Mark

    You are probably right I’m not completely clear on his views except for the very basic.

    Gandhi truthfully, fearlessly, and non-violently hates Stephan’s puns.

    An eye for a eye may make the whole world blind, but it will keep Pastis from writing more puns.

    Anjezë Gonxhe Bojaxhiu is right behing him, and she’s going to use that staff.

    Thought it might be a variation on the Muppet joke about taking Gandhi’s book away from a small child, ‘Taking Gandhi from a baby.’
    (Don’t blame me, that was the Muppets!)
