I’ve never understood that. Why is it necessary to rip off your mask to catch a foul?

    Without gives you nobstructed vision.

It’s a lot easier to see and chase down a ball when you don’t have bars in front of your face.

CB, in the event of a line drive, get your glove in front of it and catch the ball.

Forget baseball, Charlie! Try with soccer, your head is great.

Schroeder might just as well be playing his piano behind the plate.

Charlie Brown plays baseball just like I did. I always had the same result when trying to catch!

Especially when those bars are jumping up and down and all around.

I never saw this strip. Must be one of those left out of the original paperbacks.

Better peripheral vision, so you can see if you’re going to crash into a wall or perhaps run into the dugout stairs while chasing the pop up.

Why is it that sometimes when Charlie Brown gets hit by a ball his clothes come off, and sometimes they don’t? Does it depend on how hard the ball is hit?

The reason why you pull off your mask is because it is extremely difficult to run with it on. It will move a lot and smack up and down on your face. It also falls off a lot and you are in danger of tripping over it.

    Excellent 3rd panel…

Better stick with the piano, Schroeder!
