You would think that Lucy and the rest of the team would want to take advantage of Charlie’s moment savoring to postpone or delay the “inevitable” loss a bit longer….

Technically, Charlie Brown is a circle head. But I get that sounds stupid.

Well, he HAS been called, on occasion, “the round-headed kid”…but that was mostly by Snoopy.

Hmm, Charlie seems to be twice as high as the mound, which should be 10 inches above the rest of the playing field. This makes him about 1’ 8" tall.

Of course, the poetic license of cartooning allows for mishapen anatomy such as unusually large heads and the ability for characters to tie their shoes without bending over.

This is old enough to be a 15" mound – think they changed after 1968 season. Well, maybe not in Dodger Stadium

Shulz was using it the way a kid or dog would describe it.

I remember the strip where CB was lowering the pitcher’s mound. Lucy asked him why and he said MLB had decided to lower them because pitchers were dominating the game too much. Which made Lucy fall over laughing, of course.
