If ever there is an iconic comic strip, it is Peanuts. What began in the funny pages in 1950 has developed into an enduring classic. Whether you're persnickety like Lucy, a philosopher like Linus, a joyous Flying Ace like Snoopy, or a lovable underdog like Charlie Brown, there is something to touch your heart or make you laugh in Peanuts.

And in a few days, the Swallows return to San Juan Capistrano (The birds, not the Major League Human Cannonball team of that name)

Whatever happened to Woodstock

Nothing yet. This is still early ‘60s, I believe, so Woodstock hasn’t happened.

That is indeed proto-Woodstock. Wikipedia even mentions this specific strip as the actual formal genesis of the character:

Because Charles Schulz isn’t the one coloring these strips. Of course it’s Woodstock!

This strip is from ‘66 and Woodstock (the event) wouldn’t happen for years yet. This is very much pre-“Woodstock.”
