We’ve all been through this. In fact we go through it every day. We all know how tough, but also funny, it can be, as we move through life’s situations if we take our knocks with good humor. And we know also how very rewarding it can be when we actually occasionally get things right.

Do these two have nothing to do but go on vacation?

In desperation perhaps, it would behoove Paul to be obstreperous in seeking romantic love from Claire. However, Paul may not wish to inflict himself on Claire. But if Paul were to be honest about his feelings, but at the same time show Claire he loves her, then Claire may feel true respect and confidence in Paul. After all, love begets love, and begotten love often begets action. And more romantic action and feelings between Claire and Paul is what we want to see here! Now, back to reading Aldous Huxley…
