The Hoover dam happens when he pricks his finger with the needle.

Hmmm. Doubt if it generates two megawatts. Maybe just a static electricity charge, instead?

Why a HOOVER DARN?
qmwnebrvt said, 3 months ago
dheine1971, the Hoover dam was named after President Herbert Hoover.
Back in the old days when someone would get a hole in their sock they would mend it through a process called darning.
“Dam” and “damn” are homophones.
“Darn” (as in, to darn a sock) and “darn” (as in, a milder expletive of “damn”) are homonyms.

@Nabuquduriuzhur
I could kill people with my wintertime static discharges…I actually had an apprentice at work ask if I was alright after she heard a “ZAP” from me opening a locker…from 20 feet away…in a machine shop…

The trick is to put a lightbulb in the sock when darning it.
