   Superman had better uses for his X-ray vision than looking at planes, especially when it came to Wonder Woman and Catwoman.

   Superman limited the depth of X-ray penetration in the cases of Wonder Woman and Catwoman to just beneath the outfits they wore.

    I always wondered if Superman’s X-ray vision worked ALL the time, and he was just acting like he had to “change” to it to save people’s sensibilities…..

    Anything you see constantly tends to lose its erotic qualities rather quickly. But it might just explain why Superman wears his tights on the outside of his costume.

    And of course the Bats is better than Supe at flying a plane—Batman is good at tools and suchlike; Superman just uses his natural abilities.
