I’ve always loved the over used line in cheesy movies..“It is so written!” as if it that alone was a justification for action….So I am going to bed now…It is so written…..

I’ve said this before, but – I don’t understand why teachers don’t require reports to be written by hand, at least in elementary school. Children need the practice writing, it’s good for their development, and it would ensure that the child has at least done something more than cut and paste.

Running reports through one of the plagiarism detectors is now considered ‘demeaning to the teacher-student trust relationship’.

Dontcha’ know? They don’t teach penmanship or writing skills in schools anymore. Who needs to write when there’s keyboards everywhere?

They don’t teach math any more, either… and why should they? Everyone has a calculator built into their cell phones! It doesn’t matter whether the answer looks right or wrong. They pushed all the buttons and whatever comes out must be right, eh?

Education starts long before school. Even teach knows that.So does the need to keep learning long after sitting in front of a computer and manipulating and conniving and funking and cheating and, and, and…….

Another one is: “So let it be written, so let it be done…” Gee, that’s the motto of the EPA!

When i was in first grade, there was no other choice but writing by hand; it was torture for me, and barely legible to my teachers. I could do an oral report just fine. Fortunately I had a foresighted teacher who allowed for those kind of issues, and once I learned to type I turned in papers with ease.
