    Those who gazump should be strung up. The vendors who entertain it should be strung up and shot.

    Down here in S.A., if you’re a gringo, it’s a given. Fortunately, my bride-to-be is an Ecuadoriana, very sharp, and an expert haggler.
    Most Ecuadorianos don’t trust and don’t use real estate salespeople. They deal directly with the seller. That doesn{t mean that a fair amount of gazumping doesn’t go on. On the contrary !
