Are you referring to the imprint, or the angel that’s in it?

Is today’s (and yesterday’s) strip the first time that Nancy’s bow was not red? It has a distinctly lavender color, that matches her outfit. I can see where the red would clash some. So is this a historic first?

    I saw an angel, once!

My very newly aquired dog and I were on the way to SuperPetz to get her a harness. She pulled out of her collar and ran right out into traffic. Then she ran towards the nearby Burger King (all those great burger smells, don’t ‘cha know) and then went across a very busy intersection towards a Perkin’s Restaurant.

a barefoot lady was walking from around the front of Perkin’s, on the side walk, and called my Tootsie to her.
My dog (who didn’t know me from any other dog thief) went right up to her and sat down.

And this lady was NOT the dog’s previous owner.

She held Tootsie’s attention, by simply holding Tootsie’s chin in the palm of her hand while I limped (from a bad car wreck a few days prior) over to get her.

I gave her many thanks and sat down to hold Tootsie and put her collar back on. She walked (did I mention barefoot?) across the intersection, towards the back of Burger King. In less than 6 seconds, the time It took me to sit down, get hold of Tootsie and turn to look where the lady went, she had disappeared.

Even tho the intersection was a very busy one, there were no cars going thru it at the moment.

My doggie has a Guardian Angel!

Interesting story. I do have to add that while I’ve never knowingly seen one, I do believe angels are very real.

Angels as conceived were independently created to do jobs. Now early on there were no angels as the stories go.
    Humans don’t become angels.

She is an angle to me. Nancy was a bit of a grouch back in the 1960s, but now she is such a dear. I love her.

    One angel—spotted!

Well, two if you count Nancy.

Nice story. I’m happy to hear all worked out for you and Tootsie.
