Nancy was created by Ernie Bushmiller in the 1930s. Since 1995, the strip has been drawn and written in Bushmiller's classic style by Guy and Brad Gilchrist. Nancy is famed for its gentle humor and surrealistic sight gags. Nancy's childlike innocence never wavers. She remains a devoted friend to her pal Sluggo, and can be, depending on the situation, a conceited prima donna or a fun-loving, cute and cheeky little girl.

I could swear I’ve seen this exact same joke before in a strip. But, where was it? Calvin and Hobbes? Hmm…

Maybe if Nancy just helped Aunt Fritzi with the housework, she’d get what she wants.

Some of the art work was changed. Not much. Color of Fritzi’s sweater was purple in the 7/8/2012 comicstrip.

Reminds me of one of my favorite Sunday Blondie strips. Blondie asks Dagwood if he has taken out the garbage, and he says yes. Then she asks if he is sure, and again he says yes. She next asks if he is positive and again he says yes. Then she asks if he is sure he is positive. In the last square we see Dagwood pail in hand taking out the garbage and he turns toward the reader and says, “I wasn’t sure I was positive.”
