Nancy was created by Ernie Bushmiller in the 1930s. Since 1995, the strip has been drawn and written in Bushmiller's classic style by Guy and Brad Gilchrist. Nancy is famed for its gentle humor and surrealistic sight gags. Nancy's childlike innocence never wavers. She remains a devoted friend to her pal Sluggo, and can be, depending on the situation, a conceited prima donna or a fun-loving, cute and cheeky little girl.

And although not a HUGE NFL fan, even we up in the not-yet-frozen north are aware of THURSDAY Night Football, plus Monday (plus an occasional Wednesday?) ….if you want to watch football other than Sundays, you have several choices. EVEN MORE if watch CFL football, where WE only need THREE downs to move down a BIGGER field!

I love hockey! I grew up with the Hartford Whalers and played ball beside some of them, Ricky Ley was one, in the off season. Living in Nashville, Teresa and I LOVE our PREDS! Can’t wait for the season to start…till then, it’s REDSKINS and TITANS!

Not sure if Nashville is a hockey town (as opposed to Montreal, Detroit, or Toronto) but good on you for loving the world’s greatest (fastest?) sport, Guy!
