    I suspect that what really killed the Minotaur was that the Captain was Pastis expiration date.

    The minotaur of the labyrinth was a meat eater. A human turned into that frightful creature. The seven men and women were sent to feed it and keep it within the labyrinth. On the island of Thera also called Crete. There are several versions including decapitation or strangling of the minotaur.
