A different side of Venus (Aphrodite, Inanna, and 40 odd other names) than usually seen. Maybe she gets vain and scheming when she’s older?

Dunno. A flower that boasts of its alleged modesty? Besides, Venus just got finished visiting it….

Venus need not fret for the flowers have their purpose.

The flower may be modest now, but wait until the humming birds and bees arouse its passions into insouciant lust.

You find a modest flower and I will say you lie.
For if any flowers are modest they can’t exist
Hide and then one must seek. But will a bee,
moth, bird do the beautiful deed?
If one can’t be found it can’t be done
And so the modest flower dies never to be seen, again.

I think so. This Venus is a bit too innocent to be the same vindictive goddess who repeatedly tried to destroy her future daughter-in-law Psyche for being so beautiful that everyone mistook Psyche for her, actually did destroy a young man because he preferred to follow Artemis (Diana) rather than her, and, in her very first public act, cuckolded her first husband Hephaestus (Vulcan) with Ares (Mars). Goddess of love, indeed!

No flower is wasted, they were not made for us,
they were made for the bees, butterflies, hummmingbirds etc.
They care not at all if humans see them
