Rita, you and Jack have a safe trip home. It sounds like you have it carefully planned.
It’s a beautiful morning here at the Russian river. We walked over to the river yesterday afternoon, and since the water is moving pretty fast, we don’t have the mosquito problem we ran into at the San Joaquin (I had 30 bites on my lower legs from one evening spent outside!). I took Pinto for his morning walk and he almost caught a bird. If he hadn’t been on a 10 foot leash, he might have. He’s getting very pushy about wanting to go out for a walk every morning. Usually Michael does the honors, but today was my turn.
We have two full days here, and we haven’t decided what we want to do. We have a “wine tour” guide that looks pretty interesting, and a printed list of available merchants within 30 miles of the campground.
This is a water and electric only campground, with only one dumpsite, so the Thursday morning lineup of those pulling out should be interesting. We are using the community showers so we don’t fill up the gray water too quickly. We should be good for 3 nights here if we do that. I don’t remember if we are scheduled for full hookups at the next two campgrounds or not. I apparently didn’t ask for them at the first two KOA’s. It’s amazing the things you have to keep in mind when you only have limited “storage” capacity. At home, you don’t have to worry about such things.
Good morning, Vagabonds.
