My screen saver is a picture of a beautiful lion—who was still alive when his picture was taken.
I hope that big-game hunters have gone the way of the beta-max!

Hello sunshine, you have brightened my day again—feeling a bit better, so the old sea dog is on the mend. I agree poor Jeff is being treated badly again to day.
Glad to hear you’re feeling a lot better. The next time I get a cold… I’ll tell you and you can comfort me again.
Haha! Joke… But you would anyway wouldn’t you?
Your comment yesterday on this strip and on Andy Capp made me blush like a strawberry.
Thank you.

I’d like to take you back to when I found my thrill on "Blueberry Hill "(Glenn Miller)

Times have changed since the 30s, thankfully most of us do not worship the gun and relish killing the innocent for sadistic pleausure

Best kind of ‘hunting’ there is is with a camera. Let the animals live free as they are intended. NOT as a target for one’s ego.

You are correct QM MILLER. We used guns strictly for hunting. We let the armed forces use the heavy armament.

Your post reminded me of the auto race betreen the U.S.A. and Russia during the cold war years. Afterward the USA papers stated that the USA won while the USSR papers claimed that Russia came in second while the USA came in next to last.

The boys at Al Capone’s Valentine’s Day Party would probably disagree.

I’m afraid you are right. Dillinger was no slouch either.
