If a tree is passive aggressive and there’s no one around but Monty, is it still emotionally unstable?

Deciduous trees are a pain, especially when on a neighbour’s property and the wind always blows towards your place.

Deciduous trees developed leaf-dropping as a defense mechanism against devout Christians’ annual massacre of their brethren evergreens, symbol of “eternal life”, whose corpses got rudely dragged into people’s living rooms, where they could dessicate into fire hazards before being abandoned at the curb to clog the nation’s landfills.

Where I lived for 19 years there was a sycamore tree that lost leaves 8 months out of the year.
The leaves were as big as dinner plates, and when dry, sounded like aluminum when the wind blew them down the street.
I used to use a bagging mower to chop up the leaves.
I don’t miss it at all.

There’s some type of ash tree I pass on my way to work that does exactly this – after the first hard frost it rains leaves down on the guy’s driveway. I noticed this year he trimmed it back considerably
