Moondog can hear a worm wiggling?

@Proginoskes
Just a tiny disturbance … a presence.
Once lived for a while in the tropics in a house that had shutters instead of windows to let the cool night breezes blow through (no air con). We had a cat … almost feral but hung around to get fed occasionally. At various times each month the cat would bring mice in through the shutters at night and play around with them in the bedroom. Sometimes it was a (nearly) whole, live mouse … at others it was “select” bits of mouse. The “locals” said it depended on the moon phase.

My fathers cat once brought home a live chipmunk played with it for a little while then lost it/got bored. I then had to tear the second floor apart trying to find the damn thing who was quite alive and well. Finally traped it in an old soda box and took it back outside. After that and a few other incedents the cat was kicked out of the house.

I love all the details in Meddick’s strip. …not to mention Moonie wearing his sunglasses in bed at night.

My cockatoo, Cuddles took a nibble of a worm from my shovel once while I was gardening. My Timneh, Fitzroy enjoyed chasing seed bugs and eating most of the body (the bugs ate seeds out there for wild birds, so probably tasted good to him).

I thought the wiggle was just a happy tail shake from Pilsner ;-)

Pilsner – you can make your point – Outside!
.
Knew of a cat that liked to catch garter snakes, bring them inside and play. When bored, she would sit on the snake to keep it in place. Then play some more. …
Friend’s cat goes after anything with wings. Dragonflies, butterfiles, house flies, birds.

When we get back to spring I will be watching the marvelous web cams at Cornell U at the Red Tail Hawk nest. Chippies are one of the favorite foods for those hungry babies! I love to see the pigeons devoured tho’ ;-D
