   Some idiot introduced chipmunks to the island in the late 80’s and now the damn things are everywhere. I can’t be’eve how loud the little rock rats are in the summer they drown out the birds.

   All you who hate the chippys need to join our red tail hawk nest watching at Cornell U in the spring (that IS the fav food for thos lovely babies). Cornell has done such a MARVELOUS job in setting up the cameras and their chat board – people actually get zooms when requested and the views of every aspect are incredible!! Even maps of the area and “boots on ground” tracking after the fledgelings leave the nest. Please check it out.
