    Or the cartoonist didn’t refer back to the original drawing. The cartoonist colours the weekend strips and the site colours the dailies.

    It’s my theory that we’re not seeing the same universe in each strip. Each strip shows a universe that is imperceptibly different from the previous, like frames from a walk from Amber. Over time, the differences are perceptible and seem like continuity errors. The times are imperceptibly different, too, explaining why characters or histories don’t seem to age.
