IMHO black Xs on a white background is less existentialist and more minimalist and abstract than black AND red blobs.

Is Moondog McHorney begin an appreciation of art and his “stand alone” job?

Not THE “Wade Guyton”?! As a Late Modernist (a tad earlier than Post-Modernist) he should look down on such overstated work as the piece Moonie is trying to explain. Garish, overt, even vulgar!

People may pay insane amounts of money for this kind of art .. even if it is a black dot on a white canvas and try to say it means something. However, in the middle of the night, you know they wake up and say “I just spent HOW MUCH for a dot?”.

Years ago I saw a tv show where someone did an oil painting and the family dog (big with bushy tail) came along and wagged his tail over the wet paint. Idiots went gaga over the supposed “art”.

It’s always funny when People who don’t understand art try and explain why We who do are wrong…..not pointing fingers, but…I could!
