Whenever Rita begins to lose her motivation, she orders something to assemble from China.

Or maybe she is motivated by writing bad instructions, and having a good laugh at the misery of those trying to follow her instructions. That would motivate me!

Been there, done that and oh, so true.

The other night I spent about a half hour chatting with technical support for ACER to set the brightness on a new monitor I just bought. The techie was in India I presume, so texting was preferable to trying to decipher the accent.

The documentation made reference to a Menu Button and “<” and “>” controls. It turns out that the menu button is the middle of 5 buttons you can almost feel if you run your fingers under the lower edge of the monitor. The so-called “<” and “>” controls are the next two buttons. You have to know how many times to click each button to select and/or toggle the menu selections.

None of the buttons are labeled but that doesn’t matter since you can’t see them anyway. The documentation makes no mention of where these buttons are or which button is which.
