maybe the GOP will finally boot the tea party out of their party and go back to where compromise is not a dirty word.

It’s probably good to think so, but better not to. The GOPs problems have spread systematically among its members, like an STD for which there’s no known cure.

Replace the reindeer with Wigged Washington, Jefferson, Adams holding a copy of Constitution and Bill of rights. Now we have a reality check.

While the GOP heads are the ones rigging the system to give them all the money so that less than half a dozen members of the Walmart family can literally be worth more than bottom 30 percent of the entire population combined.

But make Santa as the taxpayer and put Kochs, Norquist and all the Wall Street bankers and again it would be even closer to reality.

While the GOPpers hand out tax breaks, bailouts and subsidies to the richest individuals and corporations in the country. An individual subsidizes industry to the tune of $4,000/individual per year.

Nice to know Obama is actually a Republican for in December 2010, He signed The Bill passed by The then Democrat Controlled House and Senate extending The Tax Cuts for only The Top 1%.

Sadly, Obama did not have The Stones to stand up to the Democrats Veto the Bill extending The Tax Cuts for only The Top 1%

Constant drawings of tea partiers with tea bags affixed to their hats is basically just telling the same joke over & over again. And since tea partiers don’t do it any more, it’s a joke no longer based in reality (& there were only about 3 who ever did it). But hey, cartoonists can feel good about themselves for having gotten tea partiers to stop wearing the period dress of the 1700s. What an achievement.

    @sclark55,
Back a number of months ago, out here in good old Cowlorado, a group of youth – mostly in the “below 30” age bracket – got together up on the State Capitol lawn/grounds. They were matched by another group – with more in the “over 30” age bracket – on the other side of Broadway, in Denver, on the Civic Center grounds. Both groups were “protesting”
    ^
Many of the State Capitol lawn/grounds group dressed in what appeared to be a kind of imitation American Colonial fashion – knee breeches, buckled shoes, and Tricorne Hats, with tea bags dangling from the points – and referred to themselves as “Tea Party”. HOWEVER, they were very adamant about informing the media that they WERE NOT – nor did they intend to be, or become – an actual “political party”. And, at least here in good old Cowlorado, they have not become such, as yet.
    ^
The State Capitol lawn/grounds “protest” was – more or less – quietly handled by our State Police. On the other side of the street, the usual “riot clad” Denver Goon Squad – equipped with shields, heavy batons, Tasers, Mace, and all the rest of the paraphernalia beloved of Denver’s Goons – waded in, and brought the “protest” to a bloody end.
    ^
Tea Party players – complete with Tricorne Hats and tea bags dangling therefrom – have again appeared, from time to time, in other State Capitol areas, and even approaching the sacred Halls of Congress in Washington, D.C. The costume seems to indicate the notion that the nation ought to go backwards, to about the end of the 18th Century, and . . . ?
    ^
And, in the meantime, the teabag as ornament – both to the little pointy head, as well as the Tricorne hat – has also come to designate the Right-wingnut, reactionary, regressive, racist Republiklan Party.

Yes indeed! “True conservatives” are just falling all over themselves to follow “intelligent people like Palin”.
    ^
Let’s see. Where’s she off to now? Oh! That’s right. She’s got a late, late, late night show on something called . . . “Sportsmen’s Network” . . . whatever, or wherever, that might be, peddling cure-alls and kitchen gadgets, or some such. Excellent – one might even say, "PERFECT – job for someone that “intelligent”. After all, apple corers that also do the dishes are quite the rage for Xmas presents this year.
    ^
Please do; go follow her. And be sure to take the rest of the “true conservatives” with you.
    ^
    Bye! Bye!
