Boehner might be a rat but please don’t malign the feline world as in any shape resembling the wacko Tea Potters in the House.

“Government spending has been coming down, and the deficit has been shrinking over the past few years as a percent of GDP, faster than any time since WWII. Meanwhile, most the deficit was created by Republicans and Republican policies in the first place: Iraq, Part D drug price rigging, corporate welfare, tax breaks for billionaires, the recession - why stand firmly and stubbornly in the way of anyone paying for it except the poor, middle class, elderly people and children?”

“Cut some stupid programs, cut the fat”

Yes! And cut Social Security, and cut the COLA, and cut Medicare. 40% of the federal budget right there. I’m tired of paying taxes for non-productive, free-loading, retired seniors.

The federal government spends 15 times more money on Social Security and Medicare than it does on Food Stamps (SNAP).

There is one comparison between cats and legislators that applies. Cats are egotistical, self centered, and when they reach out to others, it is usually in hopes of being fed, petted, or otherwise ‘appreciated’. There are cats that are empathic to owners and will actually leave a preferred spot to ‘comfort’ an owner/friend who is feeling down, but my experience has shown these caring cats to be rare. The only thing more rare, at this time, is a caring politician.
    Respectfully,

LET ME REPEAT: Gov’t spending is lower than last 60 years. Google it—I know it’s a pain, cause it’s the truth. Nowhere to hide!!!

And when your house floods, your state needs federal emergency care, you get your fed refund check, you drive on an interstate freeway, you don’t have to pay 100% of your medical costs, the atmosphere you breathe, the drugs and food you take/eat, the children you inoculate, thank the federal government. I worked over 30 years and EARNED every single damn dime of my “retirement” and it’s costing me more than when I was working, thanks to the Cons. Cut corporate welfare, tax loopholes for the wealthy, penalize corps who take $BILLIONS off-shore into unregulated tax havens, stop sucking up to the 400 families in this country who own a full 50% of the wealth and THEN get back to me about my “free-loading” status. Thanks to masterskrain, omnius, wmconelly, etc.

You mean ‘lower taxes for the rich and less government aid to people like ’Sandy’ victims?

“……..I’m tired of paying taxes for non-productive, free-loading, retired seniors.”

    Yeah, those free-loading, retired seniors
who paid into that fund with their taxes all through their entire working lives. We should just put them on an ice floe and send them out to sea. Bye, Grandma, Bye, Grandpa………..!

You’re replying to Ms. Ima’s comment:

“Reagan had no problem herding a majority of dems for 8 years. But he was a leader unlike O.”
    ***********************************************************
But there was a difference: the dems Reagan was heading were intelligent, sane, and actually wanted to do good for the country.

Yeah. We understand. Taxes are lower than they been in at least eighty years, our infrastructure is falling apart and all you can worry about is gutting the country for another nickel. We understand perfectly.
